| Dr. Brooks Whitmore
  Dr. Brooks Whitmore has served as the Organist and the Handbell Choir Director at Highland Park since 1997
He has also provided music for Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, and Episcopal churches
He holds degrees in piano performance from the Universities of Wisconsin (summa cum laude), Illinois, and Texas (Doctor of Musical Arts, 2000).
His dissertation study focused on the complex and deeply spiritual music of the twentieth century French composer, Olivier Messiaen. His teachers include the noted British pianist, Ian Hobson, and the late Danielle Martin of Austin.
An active keyboard educator, he maintains a private studio and teaches at Austin Montessori School. His students' honors include performances with the Austin Symphony Orchestra and top prizes at local and state contests.
He is currently the Sub-Dean and Program Committee Chair for the Austin Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the Vice President of Programs for the Austin District Music Teachers Association.
